๐ Duties Amendment Bill 2025
Assented toLABill 49 April 2025
This Bill amends the Duties Act 2008 to expand the first home owner duty concession and the off-the-plan duty concession for property transactions entered into on or after 21 March 2025.
Impact
First home buyers and purchasers of off-the-plan properties will benefit from increased thresholds and extended timeframes for duty concessions, potentially reducing the amount of duty payable. The changes also provide greater benefits for homes outside the Perth metro area.
