๐ Mining Amendment (Transfer of Royalty Administration) Bill 2025
This Bill amends the Mining Act 1978 and the Taxation Administration Act 2003 to transfer royalty administration and collection functions from the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS) to the Department of Finance, RevenueWA.
Impact
Mining companies and royalty payers will interact with RevenueWA instead of DEMIRS for royalty payments and administration. The changes aim for a seamless transition with minimal impact on current arrangements.
