Notice Text

On 12 July 2021 the Commissioner for Consumer Protection (Commissioner) served a notice on the above named Associations pursuant to section 145(1) of the Associations Incorporation Act 2015 (Act) informing them that if they did not show cause on or before 60 days after the day on which the notice was given (Allowed Period) the incorporation of the Associations would be cancelled. The Associations did not show cause within the Allowed Period. On 17 September 2021 the Commissioner gave notice in writing to the Associations pursuant to section 147(2) of the Act stating that the Commissioner proposed to make an order cancelling their incorporation after the expiration of 28 days from the day on which the notice was given and advising the Associations that it could apply to the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) for a review of the Commissioner’s proposal within his period. The Associations did not apply to SAT for a review within the period specified. Therefore, pursuant to section 147(1) of the Act, the Commissioner orders that the incorporation of the above named Associations be cancelled with effect on and from the date of this order.
