Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, landowners in the City of Vincent are required to clear inflammable matter on their land by October 31, 2024, and maintain it until April 30, 2025. Landowners may apply for a variation in writing to the City by October 31. The penalty for non-compliance is a fine of up to $5,000.00. Burning garden refuse and lighting fires in the open air is prohibited between October 31, 2024, and April 30, 2025.
