Fire mitigation measures must be in place by 1 november and maintained until 30 april each year. This is a requirement under the bush fires act 1954 section 33. Failure to comply with this notice may incur penalties of up to $5,000 and the works required by this notice will be carried out at the expense of the owner/occupier. Fire management requirements are detailed for land less than 4000sqm, greater than 4000sqm, and all vacant land greater than 4000sqm.
