Exempts holders of a Western Australia fireworks contractor licence from the need to hold an explosives transport licence for the transport of fireworks on water as required by regulation 97(2) of the dangerous goods safety (explosives) regulations 2007. This exemption only applies to fireworks that are being transported by water for the purpose of conducting a fireworks display under a fireworks event permit. The safety management of transporting the fireworks on water must be detailed in the contractor’s explosives management plan (emp).
