These regulations amend the Bush Fires Regulations 1954. Amendments include definitions of approved fire extinguisher, private road, rail grinding, road, suitable spark arrester, and urgent works. Regulation 24DA inserted regarding activities authorised by the Fire and Emergency Services Act 1998. Regulation 24E replaced regarding hot work exceptions. Various other regulations amended concerning fire-resistant barriers, extinguishers, and catering activities.
