These regulations amend the Health (Skin Penetration Procedure) Regulations 1998 and the Medicines and Poisons Regulations 2016. Key changes include deleting "and midwifery" from the definition of nurse, updating definitions related to structured administration and supply arrangements (SASA), and inserting definitions for endorsed midwife, enrolled nurse, medic, midwife, nurse practitioner, paramedic, and registered nurse. It also authorises medics to supply Schedule 2 or 3 poisons and administer, possess, or supply Schedule 4 or 8 poisons under certain conditions.
