Under section 8.15C(2)(c) of the act, the minister suspends the council of the town of port hedland. Under sections 8.30 and 2.39(1) of the act, the governor appoints the honourable fredrick riebeling as commissioner of the town of port hedland while the council is suspended and, if it is reinstated, until it holds its first meeting after being reinstated.
