Order made by the Minister under section 43 prohibiting fishing for demersal scalefish. It prohibits recreational fishing for demersal scalefish in the West Coast Region, with exceptions for line fishing from shore and spearfishing (excluding dhufish) from shore, and charter boats outside the Metropolitan area. It also prohibits commercial fishing under relevant authorisations. The Prohibition on Fishing for Demersal Scalefish from Boats (Closed Season—West Coast Region) Order 2024 is revoked.
