To provide enforcement agencies with guidance on the designation of authorised officers as per Part 2, Division 4, section 29 of the Public Health Act 2016 (the Act). The Chief Health Officer may issue guidelines in relation to the appropriate qualifications and experience for a person or class of persons to be designated as authorised officers under the Act.
