The council of the Town of Cambridge resolved on 22 November 2016 to make the following local law under the Cat Act 2011, Dog Act 1976, the Local Government Act 1995. The purpose of this local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of the keeping of dogs, cats, large animals, miniature horses and pigs, poultry, pigeons, and bees within the District. This local law applies throughout the district of the Town of Cambridge.
