Under section 65 of the Electoral Act 1907 I give notice that on Tuesday 9 August 2022 the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly issued a writ under sections 67(1) and 69 of the Act directing me to proceed with an election in the North West Central electoral district to elect one member of the Legislative Assembly for that district. For the purposes of this election— (a) the electoral rolls close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 17 August 2022; (b) nominations of candidates must be received before 12 noon on Friday 26 August 2022; (c) polling day will be on Saturday 17 September 2022; (d) the last day for the return of the writ is Monday, 7 November 2022.
