In accordance with section 62A(1) of the Combat Sports Act 1987 the Hon. Mick Murray MLA, Minister for Sport and Recreation, has approved the following rules for Mixed Martial Arts contests.

Provides regulations for boxing contests including ring requirements, dress code, and conduct.
Amends the Combat Sports Regulations 2004 regarding contestant participation, penalties, and weight divisions for mixed martial arts.
Updates minimum and maximum weights for boxing, kickboxing, and Muay Thai weight classes by replacing Schedule 2 Division 1 of the Combat Sports Regulations 2004.
Designates The Honourable Matthew Swinbourn MLC as the Minister for the purposes of the Supreme Court Act 1935 section 154(3) and (4) from September 24, 2026, to September 27, 2026.
