Notice Text

Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, landowners in the Shire of Esperance are required to clear fire breaks and remove inflammable materials by October 1, 2017, or within 14 days of becoming the owner/occupier. Specified land and fire breaks must be cleared from October 1, 2017, to March 31, 2018. Penalties apply for non-compliance. Applications for alternative fire breaks can be made to the Council by October 1, 2017.
