EE401 ELECTRICITY INDUSTRY ACT 2004 ELECTRICITY INDUSTRY (ELECTRICITY SYSTEM AND MARKET) REGULATIONS 2004 ELECTRICITY SYSTEM AND MARKET RULES Market Rules made by the Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation. I, Amber-Jade Sanderson, Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation for the State of Western Australia hereby give notice of market rules made in accordance with regulation 7(5) of the Electricity Industry (Electricity System and Market) Regulations 2004. These market rules may be cited as the Electricity System and Market Amendment (Tranche 9) Rules 2025 and— 1. The amending rules set out in Schedule 1 are to come into operation at 8:00 AM (WST) on 1 January 2026. 2. The amending rules set out in Schedule 1A are to come into operation at 8:00 AM (WST) on 26 February 2026. 3. The amending rules set out in Schedule 2 are to come into operation at 8:00 AM (WST) on 1 April 2026. 4. The amending rules set out in Schedule 2A are to come into operation at 8:00 AM (WST) on 1 July 2026. 5. The amending rules set out in Schedule 3 are to come into operation at 8:00 AM (WST) on 1 October 2026. 6. The amending rules set out in Schedule 4 are to come into operation at 8:00 AM (WST) on 1 October 2027. 7. The amending rules set out in Schedule 5 are to come into operation at 8:00 AM (WST) on 1 May 2026. Where there are market rules made by the Minister in accordance with regulation 7(5) of the Electricity Industry (Electricity System and Market) Regulations 2004 prior to the date of this notice which are specified to come into operation on the same day as the amending rules set out in the Electricity System and Market Amendment (Tranche 9) Rules 2025, the amending rules set out in the Electricity System and Market Amendment (Tranche 9) Rules 2025 come into operation immediately after the commencement of those market rules.
