Laurence Adams, acting Director Waterways Safety Management, Department of Transport, exempts jet karts from compliance with regulations 51D, 52, 52A, and 52C of the Navigable Waters Regulations 1958, and subregulation 52B(1) when operating within 400m of any shore. This exemption is subject to conditions regarding lifejackets and bailing equipment. The exemption is valid for two years from the date it is signed unless revoked sooner.
