Acting pursuant to the powers conferred by Regulation 38B of the Rottnest Island Regulations 1988, the Rottnest Island Authority hereby closes the following waters to all vessels, excluding bona fide emergency and authorised vessels as set out below between 12:00hrs on Friday 26 February 2017 to 18:00hrs on Saturday 27 February 2017. These restrictions have been put in place due to the unusually large number of vessels and people entering the Reserve and the need to achieve public safety.
