The fes commissioner, as the hma, declares an emergency situation in respect of the tropical cyclone mitchell. the area of the state to which the emergency situation declaration applies is town of port hedland, city of karratha and the shires of east pilbara, ashburton, carnarvon, exmouth, upper gascoyne and shark bay. declaration made 07/02/2026, effective from 1730hrs on 07 february 2026 and remains in force until expiry (3 days after taking effect) or revoked.
