The Shire of Mingenew introduces Local Planning Scheme No. 4, replacing Scheme No. 3 gazetted in 2008. The scheme sets out planning aims, zones land, guides development, and provides for infrastructure contributions and administration. It aims to preserve Mingenew Townsite's amenity, ensure sufficient land for housing and employment, and protect agricultural land while promoting mining.
