Notice is hereby given that the City of Joondalup has resolved, pursuant to section 24g of the Bush Fires Act 1954, to prohibit the burning of garden refuse or rubbish by any person at any time on private land within the district of Joondalup. This prohibition does not apply to devices which are specifically designed and used for the purposes of cooking or heating. A local government may, by notice given under section 24g, prohibit or impose restrictions on the burning of garden refuse or rubbish that is otherwise permitted under section 24f of the Bush Fires Act 1954. Accordingly, the effect of this notice is, that the burning of garden refuse, either in an incinerator or on the ground which is emitted under section 24f, is now prohibited at all times during the year.
