Pursuant to Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954 you are hereby required to clear fire access tracks (fire breaks) on your land. Requirements vary based on land size and zoning. Firebreaks must be prepared on or before 1 November 2021 and maintained until 30 April 2022. Penalties apply for non-compliance. Harvesting machinery must have a 500-litre firefighting unit. Permits are required during the Restricted Burning Time.
