Under the powers conferred on it by the Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Act 2007 and the Local Government Act 1995 and under all other enabling powers, the Council of the City of Nedlands resolved on 26 April 2017 to make the following local law. The purpose of the local law is to provide for the regulation, control and management of activities and issues relating to waste collection, recycling, reuse and disposal within the district of the City of Nedlands.
Related notices
Exempts City of Nedlands from insurance obligations under the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981, except for industrial diseases.
Appoints Chaminda Mendis as an authorised officer for the City of Nedlands under the Local Government Act 1995 and the City of Nedlands Waste Local Law 2016, and cancels the appointment of Glen Carroll.
Reclassifies and rezones 14 and 16 Napier Street in Nedlands, changing zoning and residential density codes.
Varies the Bruce Trust Land indenture by adding a new clause regarding road use and application of the City of Nedlands parking local law.
