The Council of the City of Bayswater resolved on 25 August 2026 to make the Dogs Amendment Local Law 2026. This local law amends the City of Bayswater Dogs Local Law 2016, including changes to definitions, deletion of Part 2 'Impounding of Dogs', insertion of a new clause 3.3 regarding suitable enclosures for dogs, amendments to clauses 4.1, 4.13, 4.16, 6.2, and 6.6, and deletion of clauses 6.4 and 6.5. Schedule 3 is also amended with new modified penalties.

Requires landowners and occupiers in the City of Bayswater to comply with firebreak conditions by November 1, 2020, or within 14 days of becoming an owner/occupier until March 31, 2021, and prohibits burning off.
