Notice is given that the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions has prepared a draft Western Swamp Tortoise (Pseudemydura umbrina) Recovery Plan (5th edition) for public comment. This draft recovery plan is the first to be prepared under the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and outlines research and management actions to stop the decline of the critically endangered western swamp tortoise and support its recovery in the wild.
