Pursuant to section 33(1) of the Bush Fires Act 1954, the Shire of Mundaring gives notice that owners and/or occupiers of land within the Shire are required to undertake fire prevention works. This must be done by 1 November each year and maintained until 31 March the year following. Requirements include maintaining firebreaks, managing fuel loads, and establishing asset protection zones.
