Pursuant to section 22 of the Dangerous Goods Safety Act 2004, an exemption is granted to holders of an explosives driver licence, whose licence is due to expire on or before 30 September 2020, from the requirement to provide the competency evidence stipulated in Regulations 157 (3)(d)(ii) of the Dangerous Goods Safety (Explosives) Regulations 2007 for renewal of licence. This exemption is in force from the date of publication in the Government Gazette until 1 October 2021.
