This notice, issued under Section 33 of the Bush Fires Act 1954, requires all owners and occupiers of land within the City of Karratha to clear and maintain mineral earth breaks and reduce fuel load on their properties. Failure to comply may result in penalties of up to $5,000 and works being carried out at the owner's expense. Specific requirements are detailed for land in townsites, outside townsites, near powerlines, water pipelines, explosives magazines, fuel depots, and railway reserves.
