Invites electors to submit statements regarding an application to change the name of a political party.

An application has been made to change the name of the “Democratic Labour Party” to “Stop Pedophiles! Protect kiddies!”, and to change the abbreviated name of the party to “Stop Pedophiles! Protect kiddies!” in the register of political parties. Any elector who believes that the application does not comply with section 242(3)(b) or should be refused under section 62J of the Electoral Act 1907 is invited to submit a statement to the Electoral Commissioner by Thursday, 12 December 2024.
