The salaries and allowances tribunal has resolved to transition from a three-band to a four-band remuneration classification model for government trading entities. The new model will provide enhanced flexibility and ensure remuneration more accurately reflects the complexity, scale, and strategic responsibilities of each gte. The revised structure introduces a new band 2 resulting in the current band 2 and band 3 being reclassified as band 3 and band 4 respectively.
