This declaration provides an exemption from land tax for the financial years commencing on 1 July 2026 and 1 July 2027 for land affected by Severe Tropical Cyclone Narelle. The exemption applies if the land would have been exempt under the Land Tax Assessment Act 2002 Part 3 but could not be used for an exempt purpose or another requirement was not satisfied due to cyclone damage.
