Debate on a bill ratifying an agreement for a new iron ore railway and port facility in the Pilbara.

🟡 Medium · Bill Second Reading31 October 2017 · 13,322 words

Bill supports a $5.6B iron ore project with rail, port, and jobs, boosting WA's resources sector.

Bill facilitates a new iron ore export facility, creating jobs and economic growth in the Pilbara.

This is a really good project—a new investment by the Todd Corporation, a new rail line, new and innovative port facilities, bringing a new Chinese corporation to the area, lower cost access to the port, and excess capacity for third parties or small operators to use the rail and probably the port system.
