The
Department of Transport
advises:
(1) Incident statistics are recorded for all incidents reported.
(2) Pursuant to section 64 of the
Western Australian Marine Act 1982
incidents are required to be reported when there is an injury, fatality or the vessel is damaged to the extent that the seaworthiness of the vessel is affected or any combination thereof.
(3) All reported incidents are recorded regardless of the severity.
(4) The Department keeps all relevant information related to statistics and records of accidents/incidents.
