I refer to the Shire of East Pilbara and key transport roads in the region such as Punmu Access Road and Skull Springs Road, and I ask : (a) What funding over the past 10 years has gone towards the repair of roads within the region; (b) What is the latest offer of funding for this from the State Government and when was it issued; (c) What percentage of the full amount required to repair the roads will the State Government’s funding cover; (d) If (c) is not the full amount, why not; and (e) What discussions have taken place between the Shire and the State Government in terms of repairing these roads?

(b)-(d) Funding has been provided this financial year, including $766,278 from the Direct Grant program; $641,721 from the Remote Access program; and $3 million from the Road Project grant program.
The State Government provides 100 per cent of the project cost through the Direct Grants program, and two thirds of the project cost through the Remote Access and Road Project Grant programs.
(e) Main Roads and the Shire of East Pilbara meet regularly, as they do with all local governments.
