LOCAL GOVERNMENT — AMALGAMATIONS
364. Mr M. McGOWAN to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. It is a simple question. Was
Minister Simpson correct when he said that the Premier had broken his promise
that he made before the election?

AnswerView source ↗

I have not broken my promise. As I have just explained to the
Leader of the Opposition at length, we are working in a cooperative process. We
are not bringing in legislation to force amalgamations.
