GRANDCARERS ASSISTANCE
PROGRAM
1062. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing
the Minister for Child Protection:
I refer to the minister's
answer to my question without notice 645 on 13 June 2019 in which she informed
the house that the draft reports from the research partners for the Department
of Communities' review of the grandcarer support program were expected
to be finalised by the end of June 2019.
(1) When were the draft reports
provided?
(2) Will the minister table those
reports from the research partners?
(3) When will the final report of
the department's review be tabled?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Wanslea Family Services and its university
research partners, Edith Cowan University and Curtin University, are yet
to finalise their research. As a result, the draft reports have not been
provided.
(2) No. The
research is the intellectual property of Wanslea Family Services and its
research partners.
(3) I announced
today that the department's review of the grandcarer support program
has been finalised, and I table the attached documents.
