(a) - (b)(i) - (vi) The Member would be aware that the Auditor General has indicated that a third audit on the setting of fees and extent of cost recovery will be tabled in the fourth quarter of 2010. The Auditor General has identified that the key questions for this audit are:
?  Do agencies have an appropriate legislative and policy framework for setting fees?
?  Do agencies apply their fee setting framework to achieve cost recovery?
?  Are agency fee setting practices transparent and subject to appropriate review?
The Member is advised to wait for this report to be tabled.
The Member would also be aware that the Delegated Legislation Joint Standing Committee is also conducting an enquiry into cost recovery.
Further information on fees and charges can be found in the recently tabled annual reports as well as departmental and agency websites.
If the Member has a specific query regarding a fee or charge I would be happy to provide further advice through an additional question on notice.
