In light of a media statement from the Minister for Multicultural Interests which states that the launch of the directory follows the allocation of more than $7 million in the 2010–2011 State Budget to support students who speak English in Western Australian schools and that the additional funding will provide intensive English programs for newly-arrived students for up to two years before they enrol in mainstream public schools, can the Minister confirm whether the $7 million will support native English speakers or children who desperately need support with English as a second language?
