the following answer.
(1)–(3) Information sessions regarding the
proposed Firearms Act were conducted in metropolitan and regional WA between
March and April 2023. Consultation has been ongoing with industry and community
stakeholders since March 2023. In addition, the consultation paper Reform of firearm laws in Western Australia was
released for public comment in October 2023. The WA Police Force received 6,681
email responses from the public during this time.
