(1) At the time of announcement the Government announced a funding allocation of $18 million for the development of a new Department of Parks and Wildlife office on Koombana Drive, Bunbury, however the 2016-17 Budget papers state that an allocation of $17.4 million has been made for the Royalties for Regions program, and I ask why has the funding been cut? (2) Will the Minister please provide an itemised list of the works to be undertaken and the cost of each to be undertaken with the $4.6 million allocated in the 2016-17 financial year? (3) If no to (2), why not?

The Minister for Environment has provided the following response.
On 14 July 2016, the Department of Parks and Wildlife offered the Member a briefing to enable her to ask any questions in relation to the project. The Member has yet to accept that offer.
(1)-(3) There has been no cut to funding for this election commitment project. In fact, an additional $10.9 million was recently allocated towards the project on top of the original $18 million commitment. The Government has announced that it has approved Parks and Wildlife’s project delivery strategy for its Bunbury Headquarters which requires a number of planned works to be brought forward to the initial project stages. This will have the effect of increasing the cost of the first two project stages to $28.9 million but will reduce the cost of the final two office blocks. Anticipated project expenditure in 2016-17 is $10.9 million.
