I thank the member for some notice of this question. The Attorney General has provided the following response - The following numbers relate to the period 1 May 2002 to 30 April 2003. They apply to the possession of 100 grams or less of cannabis in accordance with the Misuse of Drugs Act 1981 Western Australia. To answer the question in terms of 30 grams or less would require all relevant charge sheets to be analysed to ascertain the precise weight each person was charged with, which is too resource intensive. (1) 1 287. (2) (a) 10 - Children’s Court matters (b) Two.
