MEMBER FOR KINGSLEY - JOINT STANDING COMMITTEE ON THE CORRUPTION AND CRIME COMMISSION
Given that the member for Kingsley has publicly stated that she will continue to talk to Brian Burke, despite the fact that he is currently being investigated by the Corruption and Crime Commission, will the Premier stand aside the member for Kingsley from the Joint Standing Committee on the Corruption and Crime Commission until completion of the CCC’s investigation? Mr A.J. CARPENTER

I thank the member for Murdoch for the question. The member who asked the question was renowned for his rugged approach to football, but never renowned for his intellectual incisiveness or as a strategist from defence. He has demonstrated his lack of those attributes once again. He has completely misrepresented the remarks of and the commentary from the member for Kingsley. I will give some advice to the member. I suggest that perhaps he should inform himself more fully of what the member said before making that sort of assertion in a question. Mr C.J. Barnett interjected. The SPEAKER : I point out to the member for Cottesloe that he is on three warnings. If he does not wish to be thrown out of the chamber, he should not offend again.
