WESTERN POWER — POWER LINES RELOCATION —
HANSON RED HILL QUARRY
1027. Hon SAMANTHA ROWE to the Leader of the
House representing the Minister for Energy:
I refer to the relocation of power
lines at the Hanson Red Hill quarry.
(1) How was the new route
identified?
(2) Did Western
Power consult with local government and surrounding landowners about the route
of the relocation?
(3) What impact
will any new buffers created as a result of the relocation have on surrounding
landowners?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) Western Power
classifies this type of work as customer-funded asset relocation. Under this
service, customers fund the relocation of network assets. Customers requesting
this service identify their preferred line route.
(2) Customers
requesting this service are required to undertake community engagement and
obtain all approvals prior to relocation works commencing.
(3) As above.
