IMPACT ASSESSMENTS
1377. Hon NEIL THOMSON to the Leader of the House representing the
Minister for Mines and Petroleum:
I refer to the
environmental assessment and regulatory system. For each of the following
categories of applications, how many applications have been lodged each
financial year since the year ending in 2021 to the 2023–24 financial
year and for 2024–25 to date —
(a) programs of
work;
(b) mining
proposals;
(c) environment
plans; and
(d) oil spill
contingency plans?

Mines and Petroleum.
(a)
In 2021–22, there were 3 386; in 2022–23, 3 015; in 2023–24,
2 328; and in the year to date, 914.
(b) In 2021–22, there were 359; in 2022–23, 298; in
2023–24, 330; and in the year to date, 124.
(c)
In 2021–22, there were 193; in 2022–23, 165; in 2023–24,
224; and in the year to date, 53.
(d)
In 2021–22 there were 17; in 2022–23, 29; in 2023–24,
15; and in the year to date, one.
