STATE SCHOOL TEACHERS - PAY OFFER
I have a further question. Does the minister’s answer mean that - (a) she does not know how much the government is offering to spend out of the budget on this pay increase; and, (b) a particular percentage has not been arrived at? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH

Neither. My response is that we are still in negotiation. There has been no formalisation of any agreement. The member is aware of what can happen from hereon in. There is no certainty. Although the executive may have made a recommendation and ticked off on the offer, it does not mean that the offer has been accepted. The final quantum that will be paid to the State School Teachers’ Union will be dependent on whether the offer is accepted.
