I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1)–(4) Metronet is the recognised brand for passenger
rail in this state and is responsible for the biggest expansion ever
delivered to our train network. Every existing line has been upgraded as a result
of Metronet. By the middle of next year, Metronet will have delivered more than
20 new stations, alongside a growing fleet of locally manufactured trains. It
was timely to refresh the brand as part of Metronet transitioning from the
construction into operations. The rollout of the brand onto the rail network
will commence, with new stations being
delivered, over the next six to 12 months. Following this, a longer term
rollout on the broader network will be undertaken in line with existing
sign replacement and maintenance.
