Defence industry—AUKUS—Explosives
363. Hon Phil Twiss to
the minister representing the Minister for Mines
and Petroleum:
I refer to my
question regarding the passage of heavy trucks and the transport of explosives
through residential streets in Rockingham en route to HMAS Stirling via Parkin Street.
(1) Has a risk assessment been completed for the
transport of explosives through the specific residential area?
(2) If yes to (1), has this assessment taken into
account the conditions and suitability of the roads, especially Parkin Street,
knowing the damage already done to this street by heavy freight trucks driving
over roundabouts?
(3) Has a risk assessment being completed for the
specific types of explosives being transported?
(4) If yes to (1) and (2), or both, can the
minister provide copies of these assessments?
