I refer to the local Bushfire Management arrangements for areas in the
Kimberley, and I ask: (a) has a Bushfire Management Plan been developed for the two Moola Bulla Excisions, and if not, why not: (i) if yes, has the Shire of Halls Creek been provided a copy of the plan; (ii) is the Minister aware that the Department of Lands have estimated that there are more than 100 dwellings in the Moola Bulla Excixions areas that do not have building or safety approvals; and (iii) how will the Minister ensure the safety of people residing in the Moola Bulla Excixions areas in the event of a natural disaster?

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) advises:
(a) Bushfire Management Plans are developed by Local Governments. DFES is not aware of any Bushfire Management Plans developed by the Shire of Halls Creek for the two Moola Bulla Excisions
(i) Not applicable
(ii) No.
(iii) In the event of a natural disaster of which the FES Commissioner is responsible for as the Hazard Management Agency, DFES will conduct preparedness activities and develop incident strategies to mitigate the impact on the people residing at the Moola Bulla Excisions.
