I refer to the Kimberley Region, as defined by
the cumulative area falling within the boundaries of the Shires of Broome,
Derby-West Kimberley, Halls Creek and Wyndham-East Kimberley, and I ask: (a) can the Minister please table a map outlining all current Indigenous Protected Areas, falling within the Kimberley region; (b) can the Minister please table a map of the current boundaries of the Uunguu Indigenous Protected Area (UIPA); (c) has any application been made to redefine the boundaries of the UIPA: (i) if no to (c), has your Department been involved in any discussions, formal or otherwise, about redefining the boundaries of the UIPA; (ii) if yes to (c), when was that application made and what was the nature of the application; and (iii) if yes to (c(i)), on what occasions were these discussions held, and what was the nature of those discussions; and (d) what is the process for changing the boundaries of an Indigenous Protected Area, and from which statutory bodies are permissions required?
