Given that Cyrenian House is the only residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation centre that allows mothers to have their young children with them, and that they only have 20 beds, when will funding be provided to ensure there are more facilities such as this where children can stay with their mothers? I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question. Residential rehabilitation services are one of a number of options funded by this government to assist women with children who have a drug and alcohol problem and require specialist services. There are state-funded treatment options available to women and children other than residential rehabilitation. These include outpatient counselling, pharmacotherapy and withdrawal services—inpatient, community based and home based. Treatment services are encouraged and supported to adopt family and youth-friendly practices, which would extend to family members including children and partners. In addition to the Saranna program provided by Cyrenian House, alcohol and other drug residential family services are funded by the commonwealth government through the Milliya Rumurra Aboriginal Corporation in Broome and the Ngnowar Aerwah Aboriginal Corporation in Wyndham. I am also advised that there is a new facility planned in the Pilbara that will provide family services.
